We're not a plumbing company. We're not an HVAC company. We're the phone number you call when you need a real, licensed Texas contractor and don't have hours to vet strangers on the internet.
What Texaserv actually is
Texaserv is a Texas-focused dispatch and lead-generation platform. When you call our number for locksmith, AC/heating, plumbing, electrical, towing, or garage-door service, we route the request to the closest available independent contractor licensed to do that work in Texas.
The contractor performs and invoices the job. Texaserv is paid a small dispatch fee by the contractor — that fee is what motivates us to only send licensed, insured pros with clean complaint records. Sending a bad contractor costs us the customer and the referral fee both.
What we are NOT: we're not a call center in another state, we're not a "network" that just re-sells your info to whoever pays most, and we don't pretend to be a licensed contractor ourselves. Full transparency is the whole business model.
Why we exist
The Texas home-services market has a real problem: legitimate licensed contractors are drowned out on Google by lead-farming sites that outrank them with thin content and fake reviews. When you search "emergency plumber near me" at 2 AM, the top results are often middleman sites owned by companies you'll never actually meet.
Texaserv is a middleman too — we're honest about that. The difference is that we vet every contractor we send, publish honest pricing ranges before the tech shows up, don't fake response-time promises, and won't dispatch anyone with active unresolved complaints against them.
How contractors get onto (and stay on) the dispatch list
- License verification: we check TDLR (electrical, HVAC, tow), TSBPE (plumbing), and DPS (locksmith) numbers against the state registries — not just visual copies of a license.
- Insurance: current general liability certificate on file. Auto insurance for anyone doing on-road service (towing, mobile locksmith).
- Complaint history: BBB, Google, and state-board complaint history reviewed before onboarding and re-reviewed on any customer feedback we get.
- Customer feedback loop: every dispatch generates a follow-up. Sustained bad feedback removes a contractor from the list.
- Honest scope: techs quote in writing before starting. Bait-and-switch is a one-strike offense.

- We don't post fake 5-star reviews. If you don't see a rating widget on our site, it's because we won't fake one and haven't collected enough real independent reviews to publish honestly.
- We don't promise "15-minute arrival anywhere." That's marketing fiction. Dispatch gives you a real ETA on the call.
- We don't sell your info to third parties. Your call and contact info go to the dispatched contractor and stay with us. Full privacy policy at /privacy.
- We don't do warranty work on jobs we didn't dispatch. Contractor warranties are between you and the contractor.
- We don't dispatch outside Texas. One state, done well.
