What to tell dispatch when you call
- The trade you need. Locksmith, plumber, electrician, HVAC, tow, garage door.
- What's actually happening. "AC blowing warm" is different from "AC is off entirely." Details help dispatch pick the right tech.
- Your address (or exact freeway location). Zip alone is fine to start — full address before dispatch.
- How urgent it is. Actively-flooding pipe vs slow drip is a completely different priority.
- Any special access notes. Gated community, dog, tenant, upstairs unit, garage code.
- Your preferred contact method for updates. Call or text.
What to expect after you call
- Dispatcher confirms trade, address, urgency, base price.
- You get a text confirmation with the contractor's name and estimated arrival window.
- The tech texts you when they're 15 minutes out.
- On arrival: photo ID, license number, written estimate before any work starts.
- You approve. Work is done. You pay the tech direct (card, cash, or Venmo per contractor policy).
- Texaserv follows up the next business day for feedback.
